Membership Dues and Fees

Emails have been sent to renewing members for 2020 membership dues and any fees for unworked service hours. Payment is due by February 1. If a member withdraws during the year, a partial refund can be remitted only if the annual dues payment was made by Feb. 1. If you have not received an email with the invoice for the dues, please contact Carol Limaye at scgtreasurer1@gmail.com.

Free Hands-On Workshop

Our own SCG Tool Master, Bob Easter, plus special guest instructor Sheryl Williams of AgriLife Extension.

*** Bring your own clippers, loppers, trowels, shovels & hoes - AgriLife Extension experts will teach us how to clean, restore and sharpen our own tools ***

About this Event

Gardening with comfort and ease, with a minimum of strain on your body, begins with selecting the right tool for each task and keeping your tools in prime condition. Please bring:

• cutting tools like hand-pruners, clippers, shears, loppers, etc.
• digging tools like hand trowels, hoes and shovels
• bring all tools "as is" no need to pre-clean

Service Hours Workday

January 18, 2020, 10:30am - 1pm

Welcome to our first workday of 2020!

• Special Project: Set up for our hands on Tools workshop - earn Regular Service Hours
• TSBVI Tasks will be available - knock out your Spring semester TBVSI hour!
• SCG campus, trailer & vacant plot cleaning and maintenance tasks - earn Regular Service Hours
• Bring a sack lunch (and your rusty, dirty tools) and stay for our tools workshop

This work shop will be lead by Charlotte Jernigan - Zone 6 Coordinator (charlotte@cybermesa.com) We need your help! Please join in on the fun and then stay for our great tools workshop described above.

Sunshine's Annual Plant Sale - 3/7/20

It's only 7 weeks away and we ALL have so much to do!!

Everyone needs to:

Clean up your plots. We have lots of visitors that day and want to look our best. Tell your friends and neighbors about the sale. Share on facebook or all those other things. Come to the work days to get everything ready.

Passalongs:

Some of you have started to get your donations of plants ready for the pass-alongs. There is some soil near the gate and pots inside the Weatherport you are welcome to use. Please keep those plants at home until closer to the sale. We cannot protect your transplants from the weather nor care for them.

Email or talk to Janet Adams if you have questions. There will be a volunteer sign up available in the next few weeks. The plant lists are at the website for you to peruse and talk about to your garden friends.
